So, it was my 22nd birthday today, and overall, I had a really good day. My tattoo appointment was at 11 AM, Phil met David and I at the parlor and four hours later… this beauty was on my right forearm:
It was only the first session, there will be more, but I’m satisfied with the progression so far. Trevor changed it up a bit, turning three roses into one, and leaving the design open for future additions. He was such a sweetheart and did the shading on the rose as a birthday present. In our second session, the dragon is going to receive its shading and colouring. I haven’t decided if there’s going to be background shading, but I’m going to leave that decision until it’s finished. I have to book my second session next pay day.
David had to leave early to catch his ride to Quesnel (his mum is moving back to Williams Lake) , so Phil and I headed off and got a bite to eat. After that he had to take off to get the last of his things together before his return to Calgary. Mum and Dad picked me up at about five and we went to dinner and did a bit of shopping. Mum bought me some new books, plus two large black oak book cases that I’m going to assemble tomorrow. Now I’m here at home, completely tired out and contemplating bed.
I’m off work until Thursday, which was a bonus, so I’m hoping to get my house clean top to bottom, and get all the content here updated and whatnot. Hopefully it pulls through this time. My last set of days off didn’t go so well (it’s all in my LJ for those who have access) so I didn’t get to do much.
Off to bed, I think. So sleepy. LOL. Happy birthday to me.
